| Brie Salmons is the Information Systems Specialist of the
Center for Business and Economic Research (CBER) and has served
in that position since May 2001. Brie manages the Cost of
Living Index and WV Leading Economic Indicators. She is also
responsible for Geographic Information Systems, Visual Basic
Programming and SAS Base Programming. She also works on numerous
grants with CBER and the Rahall Transportation Institute.
Prior to becoming an Information Systems Specialist, Brie
began her career at CBER in April 1999 as a Student Assistant
and, in October of the same year was promoted to Administrative
Secretary. Brie earned a Bachelor of Business Administration
degree in Management Information Systems from Marshall University.
She continued her education at Marshall with a graduate
course in Geographic Information Systems and has attended
several courses on SAS Base Programming through the SAS
Institute.
Brie lives in Ona, WV, with her husband, Tony, and their
daughter, Jessica.
