The Department of Chemistry at Marshall University seeks to fill a position in the Fall 2014 semester at the associate level. The desired discipline is in biochemistry with a focus on synthetic biology and/or protein engineering to lead a major initiative in that area. Candidates must have a PhD in biochemistry or a closely related field, and must have current NSF support for their research. The appointee must have a strong commitment to excellence in both teaching and research, and be willing to mentor junior faculty toward successful applications for external funding.
