The following scholarships are awarded to students in the Department of Chemistry
Alumni Summer Undergraduate Research Fellow
This fellowship provides a $4,000 stipend for an undergraduate student to spend full time working on a research project for the summer. It is funded by donations from our alumni.
Trevor Stone is the Alumni Undergraduate Research Fellow for 2012.
The Paul and Catherine Babb Scholarship
This scholarship was endowed by Dr. Daniel Babb in memory of his parents. It is awarded annually to a chemistry major and provides $1,500 towards that student's academic expenses.
Christian Warner is the 2012 Babb Scholar.
The Gary Anderson Scholarship
Department faculty have named this scholarship in honor of former colleague, Dr. Gary Anderson. It is awarded annually to a chemistry major and currently has a value of $500.
Anthony Stephenson is the 2012 Anderson Scholar.
The Gamma Eta of Alpha Chi Sigma Scholarship
This endowed scholarship is administered by the Alpha Chi Sigma Educational Foundation and is awarded annually to a member of Alpha Chi Sigma based on a combination of scholarly excellence and active participation in the Gamma Eta chapter of Alpha Chi Sigma. Members of the Fraternity may be majors in any of the chemical sciences. This scholarship currently has a value of $1,000.
Catherine Higgins is the 2012 Gamma Eta Scholar.
