The Center for International Programs and Marshall University will be closed from Friday, 21 December 2012, through Tuesday, 1 January 2013, for the Winter Break. During this time no one will be available to assist you. If you have immigration questions, please make an appointment right away to meet with an International Student Advisor. You can reach Blair Bocook at firstname.lastname@example.org and Chris Miller email@example.com. Otherwise, we will be able to help you when the university reopens on Wednesday, 2 January 2013.
If you are planning to travel outside the US over the break, please make sure that:
1) you have a valid travel endorsement on your I-20 or DS-2019 and
2) you have a valid entry visa.
If your I-20 or DS-2019 is going to expire before the university reopens in January and you are planning on taking classes for the Spring semester, please make an appointment to speak with an International Student Advisor IMMEDIATELY about how to extend your status. You CANNOT extend your I-20 or DS-2019 after it expires.
Good luck with your final exams and papers! And have a very happy and safe Winter Break!
