Greetings All,
The 46th Annual Marshall University International Festival will be held in the Memorial Student Center (MSC) on Sunday, November 15 from 3PM to 7PM. The annual exposition features exotic foods, traditional music and dance and displays representing many different countries and cultures. The festival is open to the public and is free of charge.
Will your country or international group be represented at the International Festival? We need your participation forms by 11/02/2009 to be sure you are listed on the program. Particiaption forms can be found here.
The International Festival is probably the most important event of the year as far as raising awareness and visibility of our community’s international diversity. We had over 1,000 people in attendance last year. If your group would like to have a table at the festival and/or provide entertainment, please complete the attached participation form and return to: c/o Dr. Nancy Person, Marshall University, Center for International Programs, One John Marshall Drive, Huntington, WV 25755. You may also pick up or drop off a participation sheet in Old Main 320. You can also fax the form to 304-696-6353, Attn: Dr. Nancy Person.
Marshall University student groups are reimbursed for food expenses up to $100.00 (only original receipts submitted within 10 business days after event). Community-based international groups are welcome to participate free of charge, but selling is not permitted. The festival will take place on Sunday, November 15, 2009 from 3PM until 7PM in the Don Morris Room on the second floor of the Memorial Student Center. The Student Center will be open at 12PM (noon) for groups to setup. We hope you will represent your country or group by organizing a table display, preparing foods, wearing traditional dress, and/or participating in the performance portion of the program.
