Huntington is located on the Ohio river near the intersection of West Virginia, Ohio, and Kentucky. With a population of more than 100,000 people in the city and immediate vicinity, it is home to a variety of industrial concerns, educational institutions, and cultural attractions. It boasts the largest inland water port in the nation and is home to the Thundering Herd, Marshall's standout football team.
