Strategic Planning Proposals

The purpose of this project is to propose how the West Virginia Army National Guard (WVARNG) can use distance learning to support strategic goals. This project provides recommendations to the WVARNG leadership that will make possible more effective and efficient use of available distance learning assets. I researched three areas: strategic planning in the West Virginia Army National Guard, distance learning strategies of the Army and National Guard, and the distance learning environment.

My research into the strategic plans of the WVARNG highlighted a problem in the management of the WVARNG distance learning program. I found a lack of guidance at the strategic level.

I concluded that the distance learning program would be used more effectively and efficiently with specific strategic guidance. I propose vision, missions, goals, objectives, and metrics for the WVARNG program.
