Healthcare
Information Technology and the Small Medical Office

Abstract
The healthcare industry is poised to make major changes in
its implementation and use of information technology. Physicians in small practices will fall
behind if there are no provisions to integrate them fully in the change
process. This paper outlines the state
of medical care as provided by the smaller physician’s office and the state of
information technology in healthcare. It
also outlines a business proposal for the establishment of a company whose
vision is to help small medical offices cross the technological divide. It also describes an office assessment toll: MedicAssess.
