Mini-Grants 2002/2003 Announcement

The Marshall University NASA WV Space Grant Consortium Advisory Committee is accepting proposals for research and travel related to science, math and engineering.

 

NASA Research Enhancement Award (REA): Deadline-Oct. 18, 2002 • Projects must be related to science and engineering, with science being defined broadly to include any research topic of interest to NASA. • Total budget may not exceed $8,000. • Collaboration with researchers in other departments, in industry and/or at NASA is encouraged. • Priority will be given to faculty who are striving to initiate or establish support for their research and/or are proposing interdepartmental research projects. • Women and minorities are highly encouraged to apply. • The project is expected to be completed in one year.

 

Research Capability Enhancement Travel Mini-Grants: Deadline - Oct. 18, 2002 • Mini-grants up to $1,000 to faculty members for travel to NASA Space Center, national conferences, or visit a collaborating lab. • Grants can only be used for travel within the USA before July 1, 2003. • Grants will be judged based on the merits of the proposed activities and the potential benefits for the applicant's future research activities.
