Occupational Safety Undergraduate Program Achieves Accreditation
September 05, 2001
The Accreditation Board for Engineering and Technology (ABET) has awarded accreditation until September 30, 2004 to the Occupational Safety option of the Safety Technology undergraduate degree.
Occupational Safety is the first of two 12-hour credit specializations an undergraduate majoring in Safety Technology may choose. It concentrates on issues such as construction safety, accident investigation, and safety evaluation.
In addition to ABET accreditation, the Safety Technology undergraduate program is also accredited by the World Safety Organization and the Related Accreditation Commission of the Accreditation Board for Engineering and Technology.
CITE congratulates the Environmental Science and Safety Division, the Safety Program, faculty and staff for reaching this important milestone.
