The Environmental Science Program Gains a New Professor

Dr. Scott Simonton will be joining CITE's Environmental Science program on
Thursday, November 1, 2001.
Dr. Simonton's educational background includes a Ph.D. in
Civil/Environmental Engineering from the University of New Mexico, a masters
from Marshall University in Environmental Engineering, and a B.S. in Civil
Engineering from West Virginia Institute of Technology.
He is also a registered Professional Engineer–Environmental in West Virginia
and New Mexico.
He was previously employed with Triad Engineering, where he was a Senior
Engineer and also has industry experience with various other companies and
agencies including Fluor Daniel GTI/IT, Earth Tech, Terradon Corp, Idaho
Division of Environ-mental Quality, and the WV Division of Environ-mental
Protection Office of Water Resources.
His office will be on the South Charleston campus and he can be reached at (304)
