CITE offers Environmental Science and Safety Technology Courses at Shawnee State University

November 14, 2001

Via an agreement with Shawnee State University, Marshall University's College of Information Technology and Engineering is now offering graduate classes leading to an M.S. in Environmental Science or an M.S. in Safety Technology at the Shawnee State University campus in Portsmouth, OH.

Students register for classes through MU and the degree will be awarded by Marshall University.

According to Dr. Anthony Szwilski, Division Head for Environmental Science and Safety Technology programs at CITE, "These programs represent a new opportunity for students in the tri-state industrial community to gain convenient access to graduate courses to further their education and careers in the in-demand fields of environmental science and safety technology."

"We are looking forward to continuing to provide these much needed educational services to the region with our partners at Shawnee State University."

Students interested in participating in either program, or in taking a course for professional development, should contact Dr. Szwilski at (304) 696-5457 (szwilski@marshall.edu) or Elizabeth Hanrahan at (304) 696-5455 (hanrahan@marshall.edu).
