Certificate Presented at ASSE June 2002 Conference

Faculty and students from the Safety Technology program attended the American Society of Safety Engineers (ASSE) Professional Development Conference June 9-12 at the Gaylord Opryland Hotel in Nashville, TN. The conference is an opportunity for over 5,000 safety professionals to come together for continuing education, professional networking and presentations on a variety of safety topics. Students Jimmy Meeks, Dave Barr, Lea Reed and Associate Professor, Dr. Kathleen Meizio attended the conference from Marshall. The safety program received a plaque from the ASSE for its Accreditation Board for Engineering and Technology (ABET) accreditation. Next year's conference will be held in Denver, CO.
