Student Award and Scholarship Winners Announced

Outstanding Engineering Student Award Winners Announced

There were two recipients of the Outstanding Engineering Student Award: Ms. Angela “Mikki” Dial and Ms. BrieAnne Mauser.

Ms. Dial will be taking further engineering coursework at Marshall this fall. 

Ms. Mauser will be completing her Mathematics degree in May 2004 and plans to pursue a graduate degree in Engineering.

Outstanding Safety Technology Student Award Winner Announced

Ms. Melissa Carpenter received the Outstanding Safety Technology Student Award. This award is based on GPA, participation in the student chapter of American Society of Safety Engineers (ASSE), and demonstrated dedication and enthusiasm to the field of safety technology.

Honorable Mention was awarded to Ms. Jaime Harmon and Mr. Benjamin Thompson.

America Responds Memorial Scholarship Winner Announced

Mr. Eric D. Kerns is the recipient of the $1,000 America Responds Memorial Scholarship which is awarded by the American Society of Safety Engineers (ASSE) foundation. This annual award is presented nationally by ASSE to one recipient. Mr. Kerns is currently a Senior in the B.S. in Safety Technology program and plans on pursuing a graduate degree in Environmental Science.
