CITE Students Tour the Steel of West Virginia

CITE Students at Steel of WV

The Marshall University Student Chapter of the American Society of Safety Engineers recently toured the Steel of WV facility located near the main campus. “Visiting manufacturing facilities such as Steel of WV is an important part of our Safety Technology education at Marshall” states Faculty Advisor Jim McIntosh. “Through facility visits and tours our students have an opportunity to actually see class room discussion topics in a real world setting”. The student ASSE has also recently visited the John Amos AEP facility in Nitro and the Alcon Manufacturing facility in Barboursville. A visit and tour is planned for the Marathon Refinery during the fall semester 2007.
