Software Available at CITE
The College of Information Technology and Engineering at Marshall University is a member of the Microsoft Academic Alliance program. This enables us to provide, at minimal cost, selected Microsoft software to students who are seeking a degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or Information Systems as well as to our faculty and research staff. May I Get This Software?
You are eligible to participate in the program if you are:
- a member of CITE's faculty or research staff
- a CITE student enrolled in any CS or IS course
- a CITE student enrolled in either EM660 - Project Management or TE699 - Comprehensive Project
How Can I Get the Software?
- Go to the MSDN Academic Alliance Software Center web site at https://msdn03.e-academy.com/marshall_iteng and click the Log In button.
- Enter your Username (your Marshall email account name, such as sackowitz34@marshall.edu) and your password. If you can't remember your MSDNAA Software Center password, click the link in the Login Help box.
- Select the desired software. Many of the products can be mailed to you for a nominal fee (around $12). Alternatively, any of the software that is available can be burned onto a CD or copied to a portable USB drive. We send instructions on how this can be done to your Marshall email account when you are enrolled in the program.
Is Microsoft Office part of the deal?
No. Microsoft only makes available those products that are related to software development. You can download and try the free Open Office Suite, available at http://www.openoffice.org.
