About Me

Dr. Dave Dampier joined the Weisberg Division of Computer Science at Marshall University in 2019 as a professor, and he serves as the Associate Dean for Research in the college. His academic background is in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Cybersecurity, and Digital Forensics at various public universities over the last 20 years. During that time, he has served in administrative positions as Research Center Director, Department Chair, and Associate Dean for over 14 years. Prior to his academic career, Dr. Dampier spent 20 years in active duty in the U.S. Army, finishing his career as an Army Scientist and Professor at the National Defense University.
