  • Principal investigator on over $40M in grants from the National Institutes of Health (NIH)
  • Author or Co-Author of 112 peer-reviewed publications, 23 pharmacology and toxicology review articles, 15 book chapters, 129 national/international and 80 regional research presentations.
  • Served as president of the Association of Medical School Pharmacology Chairs, the Mechanisms Specialty Section of the Society of Toxicology, Division of Toxicology in the American Society for Pharmacology and Experimental Therapeutics, and the Ohio Valley Society of Toxicology.
  • As NIH peer reviewer: Has severed as a regular member of the Toxicology 1 and ALTOX 4 Study Sections, Chaired several Special Emphasis Panels, and serves as an ad hoc reviewer on various NIH Study Sections two or more times per year.
  • Editorial Board member for Toxicology for over 15 years, served as Associate Editor for Toxicology and Applied Pharmacology for six years and XPharm for three years.
  • First Marshall University Meet-the-Scholar Award recipient.
  • Received the Research Award from the West Virginia Affiliate of the American Heart Association
