MU COB Team Wins 2014 Peoples Bank
Undergraduate Business Case Competition
Congratulations to our COB student team who won the 2014 Peoples Bank Undergraduate Business Case Competition! The team, comprised of Zachary Brown, Dan Given, and Joanna Rodgers, brought home a wonderful trophy, which we get to keep for the year, and a plaque to display permanently. First place also included $1500.
The team was given one month to devise a solution for a fictitious financial services-related business case which addressed multiple geographical regions and multiple functional areas (i.e. strategic planning, finance, marketing). The students had to present and defend their analysis and recommendations to a panel of judges in a 30-minute presentation followed by a 15-minute question-and-answer session.
Dr. Marc Sollosy, Assistant Professor of Management, was the team’s faculty advisor. Dr. Dallas Brozik, Professor of Finance, helped the students fine-tune their presentation skills.
Go COB Herd!
