Determine Your Eligibility
Undergraduate
- Students must meet all LCOB internship eligibility requirements: Junior or Senior standing, full admission to major, overall GPA of 2.5 or better.
- Transfer students meeting the above criteria are eligible to participate after one semester of coursework at the College of Business.
Graduate
HCA
- You must be current Healthcare Administration student and in good academic standing (minimum 3.0 GPA).
- You must have already completed HCA 600 before starting the internship.
- You must get approval from the Healthcare Administration Program Director.
HRM
- You must be current Human Resources Management student and in good academic standing (minimum 3.2 GPA).
- You must have already completed nine hours of graduate credit in program before starting the internship.
- You must get approval from COB Associate Dean of Graduate Programs and Assistant Director of Graduate Programs.
MBA
- You must be current MBA student and in good academic standing (minimum 3.2 GPA).
- You must have already completed nine hours of graduate credit in program before starting the internship.
- You must get approval from COB Associate Dean of Graduate Programs and Assistant Director of Graduate Programs.
Undergraduate Internship Process
All of the following steps must be carried out to receive proper credit in the Internship Program.
- Pick up internship packet from the Academic Advising Center, CH 334, or download document from LCOB website.
- Complete Student Application form and obtain signature of academic advisor, CH 334, verifying eligibility to receive credit.
- Meet with Division Head to discuss division internship requirements.
- Have employer complete Job Description form.
- Submit completed documentation and any additional divisional requirements to division head for approval no later than the first week of the semester you wish to enroll.
- Upon approval and after receiving overload slip from division head, go to the Registrar’s Office and register for the Internship class.
To renew an existing internship for the following semester, the student must complete steps #5 and #6.
