Successful completion of all three parts of the PPST

Completion of 24 semester hours (transfer students: 12 hours of courses at Marshall University
Alternative Admission Policy for students who do not meet
the above state requirements for ATED 4:
1. 20 or less ACT composite score and a 2.71 or higher GPA
2. 2.5 to 2.69 gpa and a 22 or higher ACT composite score
When a student is admitted under the alternative policy number 2, it is the student's responsibility to raise the GPA to 2.7 before applying for Junior Methods/Level II clinical
LEVEL 2: Junior Methods/Level II Clinical (ADMI 5)
Admission to Teacher Education (ATED 4)
Completion of 12 hour Professional Education core courses ( 9 hours for 9-12 majors)
2.7 GPA Overall
2.7 GPA Marshall
2.7 GPA in each of your specialization areas
2.7 GPA in Professional Education courses
LEVEL 3: Student Teaching (Capstone)
1. Applicants must complete a minimum of 100 hours prior to the beginning of student teaching
2. Completion of at least three-fourths (3/4) of the course work in the teaching specialization(s).
3. Grade of "C" or better in all specialization and professional education courses
4. Completion of all professional education courses with the exception of EDF 475.

Application must be completed by midterm of the semester previous to enrolling for this experience.
The deadline for making application will be posted outside the Office of Clinical Experiences,
JH 232.
It will be the responsibility of the student to insure that the above requirements hve been met prior to making application for student teaching.
