REGISTERING
FOR SERVICES
WHO
QUALIFIES FOR SERVICES?
Anyone,
regardless of age, who has a primary diagnosis of Autism, Aspergers
Disorder, or Pervasive Developmental Disorder, Not Otherwise Specified (PDD-NOS)
and who lives in West Virginia should be referred for services. The
diagnosis should be made by a physician, psychiatrist, or clinical
psychologist.
HOW
TO MAKE A REFERRAL?
A
referral can be made by calling the Autism Training Center at
1-800-344-5115 or (304) 696-2332. The Center can only accept referrals
made by parents or guardians but we welcome inquiries from others who
may be interested in obtaining services for a family or individual.
During the first phone contact, initial information is obtained. The
family is requested to submit a copy of the diagnosis. Once the
diagnosis is received, the family becomes a registered client of the
Center.
