COURSES Fall 2005 CISP 427/527 E This is a web-based course designed to survey current autism definitions, rates of incidence, conceptual models and educational designs relating to children, youth and adults with autism. 3 credit hours Pre-requisite: None CISP 664 This course contains two components: a competency-based practicum experience with students with autism and a seminar with regular discussions and readings on practical issues concerning the education of individuals with autism. This course is the third in the autism sequence. 3 credit hours Pre-requisites: CISP 527E, Introduction to Autism, and CISP 662E, Instructional Characteristics of Autism Spring 2005 CISP 662 E This is a web-based course designed to provide students with an understanding of the learning characteristics of individuals with autism and research-based instructional techniques for teaching skills and dealing with challenging behavior. 3 credit hours Pre-requisite: CISP 527E, Introduction to Autism
