ATC Lending Library Frequently Asked Questions

The following is a list of frequently asked questions about the ATC library:

 

Who can check out materials?

The Autism Training Center Library is available to those families in West Virginia who are registered with our Center. Others may request materials but must do so in conjunction with a family of a person with autism.

How do I check out materials?

Call 1-800-344-5115. Please be prepared to give us the names and/or catalog numbers of the resources you wish to have sent to you. Prior to requesting resources, please make sure you have returned the Autism Training Center Library Checkout form which you received with your ATC “Acceptance Packet” when your family was admitted for services. If you need another copy of the checkout form, we would be happy to send one to you.

How long can I keep materials?

The loan period for books is 2 weeks and for videotapes, 1 week. If you need to renew materials, please call our toll free number.

How do I return materials?

Along with your requested materials, you will receive a postage-paid envelope for your convenience in returning items upon the due date. You may also drop materials off in person.

Where is the Autism Training Center Library?

The Autism Training Center Library is located on the Marshall University Campus, Old Main building, Room 317-B. The library is open Monday through Friday, 8 a.m. to 5 pm.

Are materials available through the satellite offices?

Resources may also be available through Autism Training Center satellite offices in Marion and Hancock Counties.  For information about hours and resources available from these offices, please call: ATC – North, Colfax, WV, 1-866-826-9933 or the ATC – Northern Panhandle, New Cumberland, WV, 1-304-564-5317e child.
