Adult and Technical Education - emphasis in Training and Development


This degree would enable you to apply for possible positions such as: a Wellness Director for a corporation,' exercise programs for physical therapy clinic; provide exercise testing and training in a performance enhancement clinic; hospital employee and community wellness program.

 
Adult Fitness

This degree would enable you to apply for possible positions such as: a Wellness Director for a corporation,' exercise programs for physical therapy clinic; provide exercise testing and training in a performance enhancement clinic; hospital employee and community wellness program.

Athletic Training Comprehensive

This degree would enable you to apply for possible positions such as: secondary school athletic trainer; college and universities staff assignment or combination teacher/athletic trainer; professional sports athletic trainer; sports medicine clinics such as health care professionals.

Counseling

This degree would enable you to pursue an advanced higher education degree or work in pre-professional service areas such as: community, residential, drug, alcohol.

Family and Consumer Sciences (Choose an emphasis listed below)

  • Family Environment Studies would enable you to manage child care programs; develop family resource networks; work in family service agencies; become a social worker; be a family and child advocate; manage youth programs or pursue an advanced degree in family therapy; manage food and beverage services in hotels, restaurants, and resorts; manage food services in schools, health care facilities, and other institutions; star a food or beverage service business; develop new food products; manage food distribution companies, food banks and feeding programs; train individuals and families to manage resources.


  • Retail Merchandising would enable you to seek entry and mid-level management in fashion retail stores; start a business; develop improved products in clothing and interiors; pursue a real estate license and sell homes; become a buyer; continue studies in fashion and interior design.
Recreation and Park Resources

This degree would enable you to find employment in mental health and human service agencies; rehabilitation centers; nursing homes; parks and recreation departments; community centers; pediatric hospitals; psychiatric units of hospitals; correction centers; school systems; or continue education in counseling, social work or the ministry; become a nationally Certified Therapeutic Recreation Specialist.

Sport Management and Marketing

This degree would enable you to have a career in professional, collegiate or amateur athletics; collegiate or military recreational sports; municipal parks and recreation departments; business and industrial sports; commercial an club sports; YMCAs and YWCAs; Boys and Girl Club of America; plus opportunities in television, radio, journalism, sporting goods equipment and apparel.
