HEART is a College of Education and
Human Services tutoring program that functions within the public
school classrooms of Cabell and Wayne Counties. The acronym HEART
stands for Hedrick, Enterprise, and America Reads Tutors,
reflecting the three funding sources that make this program
possible. HEART offers Marshall students the opportunity to earn
money while gaining valuable one-on-one teaching experience in the
public school classroom setting. The HEART program has proven to
be a positive and beneficial experience for future educators,
providing them with the opportunity to view the entire scope of
teaching and become more effective educators while helping
struggling students. For more information please call 304.696.2871
