A Note to All Testing Center Clients On Test Day

Registration & Check-in

Please arrive 30 minutes early

Bring one form of government issued ID (required)

  • Must exactly match name of registration
  • Must have a signature
  • Must have a photo
  • Must not be expired

Candidates presenting unacceptable or expired ID will not be permitted to test. All testing fees will be forfeited.

The testing staff will attempt to place a courtesy reminder phone call one business day prior to scheduled appointments.  However, it is always the test takers responsibility to know the time, date, location, ID requirements, and supplemental materials permitted, if any, for their specific exam.

Marshall Unviersity Testing Center has been operating as a computer-based testing site with Educational Testing Service (ETS) since 1995.

Parking Information

Test takers may ask the Testing Center staff for a temporary permit for the 3rd Ave. parking garage (next to the Cam Henderson Ctr).

Permits are not available until 30 minutes prior to the start of exam, and are for testing use only.

Parking is also available closer to Morrow Library at any parking meter on 3rd Avenue for $0.25/hr.

Testing Room
In 2007, the Testing Center joined with Prometric, Inc. for the administration of the Medical College Admissions Test (MCAT).

Revised Graduate Records Exam (GRE)

Continuous testing dates offered throughout the calendar year

The GRE revised General Test is the most widely administered graduate-level admission requirement exam in the world.  Some graduate-level business schools will also accept the GRE scores for program admission. The GRE revised General Test consists of Verbal Reasoning, Quantitative, and Analytical Writing sections.

Medical College Admission Test (MCAT)

The MCAT exam is a program of the Association of American Medical Colleges (AAMC).  The exam has been a part of the Medical School Admissions process for over 80 years.  The MCAT tests examinees on skills and knowledge that have been determined as prerequisites for success in medical school.  The exam consists of three scored sections; Physical Sciences, Verbal Reasoning, Biological Sciences, and one un-scored Trial section.
