Creative Writing - Ashley Goddard
Photo coming! Ashley Goddard attended GSA in 2003 for theatre and served as the WV State Thespian Student Board President in 2005. She is originally from New Martinsville, WV, and is currently a junior at West Virginia University. In the fall she will work at the WVU Writing Center and serve as the Vice President for the Student Education Association Service Club. Ashley will also continue to volunteer during the after-school program for children grades kindergarten through sixth at the Shack Neighborhood House in Pursglove, WV. She plans to pursue a M.A. in WVU’s Five Year Teacher Education Program in Secondary Education/English.
Dance - Jackie Lickliter
Photo coming! Jackie Lickliter attended GSA in 2002 in dance and GHA now a Senior and John Marshall Scholar at Marshall University. She is pursuing biomedical sciences with a minor in chemistry and hopes to one day become a pediatrician. At Marshall, Jackie is a member of Gamma Beta Phi honor fraternity, the National Collegiate Scholars, and the Honors Program. She is a native of Beckley, WV.
Instrumental Music - Jill Howard
Photo coming! Jill Howard is a 2004 graduate of Bluefield High School, where she was a member of the tennis team, band, flag corps and National Honor Society. She attended GSA in 2002 for instrumental music, and was a member of the WV All-State Band in 2003 and 2004. Outside of school, she studied dance for 14 years. She is currently a student at West Liberty State College in West Liberty, WV where she is majoring in Exercise Physiology with a concentration in Pre-Physical Therapy. She hopes to begin a career in the field of Housing and Residence Life. At West Liberty, she is a former member of the tennis team, and is currently a Resident Assistant, a charter member of the dance team, as well as a Red Cross certified lifeguard and lifeguard instructor.
Theatre - Megan Hersman
Photo coming! Meg Hersman is a senior in the B.F.A. Acting program at West Virginia University. She also occasionally works with M.T. Pockets Theatre Company in Morgantown. She has recently appeared as Lainie Wells in Two Rooms at M.T. Pockets and as Lord Dorset and the messenger (among others) in Richard III at WVU. She attended GSA in 2003, way back when she was still a dancer, and she's always wanted to return. .
Visual Art - Clint Fisher
Photo coming! Clint is a 2005 graduate of Webster County High where he was highly active in National Honor Society, Cross Country, Wrestling and Track. In the summer of 2003 he was a participant in GSA in the field of visual art. He is currently a junior at West Virginia University, dual majoring in painting and sculpture. Many of his works can be seen at fairs and festivals around the state. His future ambitions are to earn a master’s degree in painting and work as a comic book and children's books illustrator.
Vocal Music - J.C. Phares
Photo coming! J.C. Phares is a senior at Marshall University, where he works as a Resident Advisor in Holderby Hall. He is an Environmental Biology major, and a member of the MU Biology Club. J.C. attended Governor’s Honors academy in 2003, and graduated from Shady Spring High School in 2004. He is an Eagle Scout and Vigil Honor member of the Order of the Arrow
