Employment Opportunities

Position Title: Director, Physical Therapy Program, College of Health Professions.
Position Type: Twelve-month faculty contract. Rank and Salary: Commensurate with qualifications and experience. 
Special Note:  
Qualifications: Candidates must have a DPT, PhD, DEd, or EdD in physical therapy or related field along with a level of scholarship appropriate for tenure-track consideration at the level of full professor. Eligibility for or a current West Virginia physical therapy license is required, as are supervisory capabilities. Experience with curriculum development, recruitment, and accreditation procedures is highly desirable. 
Duties: Serve as the primary advocate for the program at all levels with the University and establish in consultation with faculty the vision and strategic plan for assessing and achieving the goals an objectives of the program and the policy framework for its successful operation. The program director is responsible for recruiting and ensuring that the regular evaluation of all core faculty occurs and that the evaluation results in an organized development plan linked to the assessment of the individual core faculty member and to program needs. The expectation of such evaluations includes assessments of teaching, scholarly activity and service, and any additional responsibilities as assigned.

Position Title: Clinical Supervisor, Communication Disorders/COHP.
Position Type: The position is based on a twelve month, nine month with summer options, or part-time. Salary: Commensurate with qualifications and experience. 
Special Note: This position is jointly funded by the Scottish Rite of Freemasonry and the Marshall University Speech and Hearing Center (MUSHC). 
Qualifications: Master's degree and CCC-S or CFY and CCC Eligible after CFY. CFY applicants encouraged. Must have experience and/or strong interest with pediatric population, pediatric feeding, cochlear implant, autism and early intervention preferred. Must be willing to obtain certification in early intervention and have access to transportation for providing home-based services and/or PRN coverage at off-campus contract sites. 
Duties: Delivery of services and development of programs for children. Provide training for students in the undergraduate and graduate speech-language pathology program.
