101 Elementary Japanese I. 3 hrs.
Pronunciation, conversation, reading and composition with emphasis on aural/oral development.
This includes katakana, hiragana, and Chinese characters, used in context.


102 Elementary Japanese II. 3 hrs.
Pronunciation, conversation, reading and composition with emphasis on aural/oral development. This includes katakana, hiragana and Chinese characters, used in context. (PR: JPN 101)


203 Intermediate Japanese III. 3 hrs.
Continuation on the intermediate level of the basic skills: pronunciation, conversation, reading, and composition with emphasis on aural/oral development. More work on katakana, hiragana and
Chinese characters, used in context. (PR: JPN 102)


204 Intermediate Japanese IV. 3 hrs.
Development of practical conversational skills, reading for comprehension, and directed compositions. (PR: JPN 203).
