The WV ATC’s College Program for Students with ASD is expanding to support students at Concord University. Beginning August, 2016, staff will lead social and skill building groups on the campus of Concord University. Groups are designed to meet the needs of college students with ASD as they navigate higher education, and provide a social network through which social awareness and understanding can increase.
Groups will be held twice a week in the evenings for an hour beginning the second week of Concord University’s fall semester. Time and location are TBD. The cost to participate is $500 per semester. Those interested should contact Nancy Ellison at email@example.com or 304-384-6086.
Beginning August, 2017, the College Program for Students with ASD at Concord University will provide individualized academic, social, and independent living supports for students who have applied and have been accepted into that program. Applications to Concord University and to the College Program for Students with ASD at Concord University are separate and unique applications. Students accepted into the support program must be accepted by and enrolled in the university; acceptance into the support program does not guarantee admission to the university.
