The Department of Communication Disorders offers an undergraduate degree and graduate degree in Speech Pathology. CD majors follow a prescribed program leading to eligibility for national certification in Speech-Language Pathology by the American Speech-Language- Hearing Association.  Graduate assistantships, which include a tuition waiver, are available to all fully admitted graduate students.  The graduate program is accredited by the CAA of the American Speech-Language-Hearing Association.

The Department of Communication Disorders is housed on the first floor of Smith Hall on the Marshall University campus. The main office can be accessed through Room 143. In conjunction with the departmental space, the Marshall University Speech and Hearing Center (MUSHC) is operated while Marshall is in session and provides clinical training for students along with services to the University and the Huntington community.
