Policy:
Admission to Program:  Undergraduate Requirements
Applications for admission to program must be submitted to the student's academic advisor by April 30th in the year in which admission is sought.  Students may obtain application forms from their advisor.

Students must apply for admission to the undergraduate program upon completion of CD 101, CD 241, CD 325, CD 429, and CD 439.  Admission to the program is required prior to enrolling in subsequent coursework in the department.

Students with a 3.0 GPA (overall, MU and CD*); a C or better in all CD courses taken; and faculty recommendation will be admitted to the undergraduate program.  Students with a 2.5 GPA (overall, MU and CD*); a C or better in all CD courses taken; and faculty recommendation will be eligible to apply for admission to the undergraduate program.

Once students are admitted to the undergraduate program, they must maintain the minimum requirements (2.5 GPA overall, MU and CD; C or better in all CD courses taken; and faculty recommendation) to remain eligible to continue in the undergraduate program.  Students who are admitted to the undergraduate program may not repeat CD courses for the purpose of raising their GPA to maintain eligibility in the program.

If admission is denied, students may reapply.  Re-applications should be submitted to the chair of the department.

* CD GPA is calculated using grades from all attempts in CD 101, CD 241, CD 325, CD 429, and CD 439.  The D & F repeat rule does not apply in the computation of the CD GPA.
