Policy:
Credit by Examination |
Taking a CD course by examination
is permitted for CD students, providing that all of the following conditions
are met:
-
The student has determined the
availability and willingness of a CD faculty member to provide, administer
and grade the examination.
-
The student has demonstrated
previous academic success by having achieved a 3.0 undergraduate GPA in
CD coursework or a 3.2 graduate GPA.
-
The student has a valid reason
why he/she has not taken the course in the regular sequence and demonstrates
that taking it when it is regularly scheduled would cause undue hardship
or cause an unreasonable delay in his/her completion of the program.
-
The student can demonstrate
that he/she has completed work equivalent to or in excess of the requirements
of the course both qualitatively and quantitatively.
-
The student has submitted to
the CD Faculty, in writing, his/her request for such a substitution documenting
#1-4 above and has received approval from the faculty prior to taking the
course.
