A Preschool for
Deaf Children Who Talk

The "L" is a specialized program for deaf children whose families choose for their children to be oral communicators. We offer direct and focused instruction and auditory training within the classroom as well as individual speech and language therapy. We strongly believe that our specialized instruction can help close the gap between hearing children and deaf children.
The "L" is a blended
program of educators from the West Virginia Board of Education, Marshall
University, and the community. It is currently staffed by a classroom
instructor, a speech-language pathologist, and graduate assistants who are
studying to be future speech-language pathologists.

Here's what
families are saying about The "L"...
"The 'L' is an amazing school that has allowed us to communicate and interact with our son in a way that we never dreamed possible. The staff is incredibly friendly, helpful and some of the most devoted people I know. I drop my son off daily fully knowing that he is receiving the best education and speech possible. Plus he has a blast and is excited to go every morning." -- Johnda Carpenter
