A = 90% or (553.5 pts +) B = 80% (492-553) C = 70% (430-491) D = 60% (369-429)

Persuasive speech topic proposal - 10 points
1. This one-page paper must be typed (single-spaced). It explains what topic you have selected for your persuasive speech.
2. In paragraph format, explain why you selected the topic, which organizational pattern (problem-solution or Monroe's Motivated Sequence) you will use, state what the thesis (central idea) will be and tell what visual aids you're thinking about using and why.
EXAMS: 220 total points
§ Exam 1 has 50 one-point multiple choice questions and five short-answer questions worth 2 points each.
Covers chapters 1 through 5
§ Exam 2 has 50 one-point multiple choice questions and five short-answer questions worth 2 points each.
Covers chapters 7-9 and 11-13
§ Final Exam has 100 one-point multiple choice questions and is COMPREHENSIVE.
Covers all chapters - with a heavy emphasis on chapters 6, 10, 14 and 15 because they weren't covered on previous exams
