Make Up Work:  There will be NO make-up work assigned to a student unless previous arrangements have been made with or have been deemed necessary by the Student Affairs office.  This can be arranged by obtaining a university excused absence.

Tardiness:  I hope that all students respect that class will begin on time.  If you are more than 10 minutes late for a class session, you will be marked absent for the day and will not receive full credit for activities or attendance.

Late Assignments:  Assignments WILL NOT be accepted late, unless arrangements have been made prior to the due date of the assignment.  If the assignment is more than two days late, the student will receive half credit.  After one week, the assignment will no longer be accepted and the student will receive no credit for the assignment.

Typed Work:  Assignments will only be accepted that are typed, double-spaced, proofread, and submitted within the allotted amount of time.  If special arrangements need to be made, please let me know as soon as possible.

Extra Credit:  There will be opportunities for extra credit throughout the semester.  Such assignments and point values will be determined by the instructor.

Classroom Decorum:  Decorum is expected to be respectful and open to all participants in the classroom.  Profanity will be kept to a minimum, and discriminatory jokes/slurs/comments of all kinds will be taken seriously and with respect to those involved.  Please be respectful of fellow classmates and keep in mind that diversity is one of the best ways to learn.

Electronic Devices:  Please keep your cell phones on silent or turned off during class.  Additionally, all music devices are prohibited and should not be used during instructional time.

Classroom Temperature:  Just as a warning, our classroom has the tendency to be very cold.  Bring a sweater or jacket with you to class if you get cold easily.  Class will not be excused early for lack of warmth.
