Joined Marshall faculty in January 2010.
Health communication issues including the role of communication in creating health literacy and making health decisions; public issues education regarding health practices and health care reform; and communication practices related to perceptions of mental health. Organizational communication issues including factors that guide and support organizational change. Those issues include interpersonal communication processes, conflict management, gender differences and similarities in communication processes, leadership, and specific change-focused variables including organization identification, participation in decision making, and cynicism about change.
2009 Recipient of The Ohio State University Extension Regional Achievement Award for Outstanding Accomplishments in Extension Education and Community Development.
2009 Recipient of the Epislon Sigma Phi Team Teaching Award, 2nd Place in the category Multidisciplinary, 5 or more members.
