Spring Break ended and Marshall University resumed classes; CORP resumed as well with a stand-out presentation from Jenna Rollins (mentored by Karen McComas) on her independent study project. Jenna began CORP looking at child identity; her project has since shifted into recent experiences of graduate students. This work is phenomenological in nature, and Jenna’s already collected data for two participants via interviewing. As of now, she has five preliminary themes emerging from her coding. Great discussion followed her presentation – we also learned that her IRB was approved over the break!
Side note – Susan Thomas Frank compared qualitative research to a labyrinth. I agree!
