CORP Meeting: September 10, 2010

This week, members in attendance learned about Susan Thomas Frank’s research, using repeated readings of patterned storybooks (e.g. “Brown Bear, Brown Bear”) to teach concepts of print in a non-evocative manner and to suppress final singleton omission (also known as final consonant deletion). We’re excited for her as this project may have given her the direction needed for her dissertation!

After her presentation, members brainstormed on possible questions and prompts for CORP’s second-year study of its participants; we pulled in some good ideas and will be ready to begin data collection soon.
