Marshall Plan for College of Science Majors

The university-wide Marshall Plan for Quality Undergraduate Education is designed to ensure that every student who receives a baccalaureate degree will be well prepared for the 21st century. Every student at Marshall must complete the requirements of the Marshall Plan. The Marshall Plan includes:

MTH 121 or a higher level mathematics course MTH 122, MTH 127, MTH 130, MTH 132, MTH 140, MTH 229, or higher

Multicultural studies Social Science courses required for major

Capstone Experience Senior year capstone experience for major

IT 101 or computer literacy/competency All students in the College of Science are exempted.

ISC All students in the College of Science are exempted.
Note:  Most College of Science majors do not require Art, Music, or Theatre appreciation.

Some Marshall Plan requirements can also count towards major, minor, or college general education requirements. We strongly suggest students enroll for classes that meet the Marshall Plan and major requirements such as SOC 200.
