Core Curriculum for College of Science Majors

 

Beginning in fall 2010, incoming students are required to complete a Core Curriculum. The Core Curriculum consists of 9 hours of Core I classes, 25 hours of Core II classes, 6 hours of writing intensive credit, 3 hours of multicultural or international credit, and a capstone project in his/her major. Additional students in the College of Science are required to complete three hours of literature, an additional eight hours in physical or natural science, and three hours of calculus. Incoming student should speak with an academic advisor about classes which fulfill the Core requirements.

Marshall Plan for College of Science Majors

Current students or students returning after being out a semester will continue to follow the university-wide Marshall Plan. The Marshall Plan includes:

IT 101 or computer literacy/competency All students in the College of Science are exempted.

ISC All students in the College of Science are exempted.
Note:  Most College of Science majors do not require Art, Music, or Theatre appreciation.
