Recommended Curriculum Plans for Graduation (pdfs)

The rumor is frequently heard that a university degree has grown too large and requires more than four years to complete. In order to dispel this misconception the following outlines are provided illustrating curriculum plans that will allow all of our degrees to be completed in four years without summer school and without overloading the student. The keys to four year graduation are: hard work, follow prescribed curriculum, avoid changing majors, do not drop classes, do not fail classes, and seek regular advising.

COS has recently implemented mandatory advising each semester for freshmen and sophomores with mandatory evaluation for graduation once during each of the junior and senior years. Our goal is to help the student in every way possible to graduate in a timely manner. Students are encouraged to come to the College of Science Office of Student Services, S214 with any problems. Both students and parents are welcome to speak to the Associate Dean of Science in S270 with any concerns.
