MCTC Seeking Comments from Public
Marshall Community and Technical College is seeking comments from the public about the College in preparation for its
periodic evaluation by its regional accrediting agency. The College will undergo a comprehensive evaluation visit
March 10-12, 2008 by a team representing The Higher Learning Commission of the North Central Association of Colleges
and Schools. MCTC has been accredited by the Commission since 2003. The team will review the institution’s ongoing
ability to meet the Commission’s Criteria for Accreditation.
The public is invited to submit comments regarding the College:

Verizon awards Marshall Community and Technical College Biotechnology Grant
Verizon of West Virginia has awarded the Marshall Community and Technical College a $62,000 grant. Dr. Keith Cotroneo, President of MCTC and Jean Chappell, Dean of
the Division of Allied Health at MCTC accepted the grant from B. Keith Fulton, CEO of Verizon West Virginia. The grant award from Verizon is in support of the highly
