The Massage Therapy Associate in Applied Science is an articulated program
between the Mountain State School of Massage in Charleston, WV and Marshall
Community and Technical College. Massage therapy classes will be offered at the
Mountain State School of Massage, and general education required classes will be
offered through Marshall Community and Technical College.
It is the goal of this program to educate the massage professional and general
community by offering massage and holistic approaches to well being.

Massage therapists manually massage customers for hygienic or remedial purposes.

A massage therapist may work as a chiropractic assistant doing pre-adjustments body work to prepare the patient for chiropractic adjustments. Post adjustment massage may also be done to stabilize adjustments.
