Placement challenge exams in English/writing and mathematics are available on campus at designated times during the
academic year and during New Student Orientation in the summer. These exams are also available online.
These exams are for students who want to challenge their ACT and/or SAT placement scores that are used to place
students who have no ACT or SAT scores. These exams are not for advanced placement.
To register for a 100-level math class, students must have the following minimum math score: 19 ACT or 460 SAT.
To register for COM 111 or ENG 101, students must have the following minimum verbal score: 18 ACT or 450 SAT.
