Withdrawal and Refund Policy
Withdrawal from the course is a serious matter. Demand for class placement is high due to the limited size of
the classes. When a student accepts a position in the class, other students are denied that position. If a
student withdraws after the course begins, another person cannot attend. If a student withdraws from the course,
he or she may not be readmitted in a future class.
The Railroad Conductor Program Coordinator, upon receipt of written notification of withdrawal and reason for
doing so, will request a refund following the guidelines below. Refunds usually take three to six weeks to
process.
The amount of refund is determined by the following schedule:
1. Withdrawal on or before the first day of class, 100% minus $500 processing fee.
2. Withdrawal after the first day of class, but before the beginning
of the second week, 60% minus $500 processing fee.
3. No refund is given after the start of class on the Friday of the
first week.
5. No refund is given if you are dismissed from class for any reason
(misconduct, unsatisfactory background check,
attendance, tardiness, inaccurate application, class performance,
etc.)
6. This Policy is subject to change upon advisement from the Marshall Community & Technical College’s Program Coordinator.
