ACT / Computer Learning Center
The Marshall Community and Technical College is one of four community colleges in West Virginia that was selected to
administer and operate an ACT Training and Testing Center. The Center is located on the South Charleston campus.
In additional to the regular instructor-led training workshops offered through the Continuing Education office in
South Charleston, the resources of the ACT Center provide supplemental training opportunities. There are
currently nearly 3000 on-line courses available through the ACT Center in the following categories:
Computer Basics Web Design Industrial Tech/Safety Skills Information Tech/Programming Networking Key Work Skills Management/Leadership Personal/Professional Development

The ACT Center also provides testing for various licensure and certification requirements. The South Charleston
site provides a convenient location for central and southern West Virginia, as well as for parts of Ohio, Kentucky,
and Virginia.
The Center currently provides testing in the following areas:
Automotive Service Excellence Daimler-Chrysler (ASE DC) Association of Social Work Boards (ASWB) Basic/Associate, Intermediate, Advanced & Clinical Commission on Dietetic Registration (CDR – AD and DT) Nuclear Medicine Technology Certification (NMTCB) Transportation Security Administration (TSA)

The MCTC is fully accredited by the North Central Association Commission on Accreditation and School Improvement (NCA CASI) and is
a member of Advantage Valey.
