Continuing Education
The mission of the Division of Continuing Education and Economic Development is to provide
education and training to business, industry, and the community at large, using traditional
and non-traditional formats to connect needed services to partners and clients.
Our vision is to be the “provider of choice” and the leader for industry in developing and
implementing new and innovative programs for economic development. We will be proactive in
the development of strategies to meet our clients anticipated needs. We will be connected
to vital partners and offer life long opportunities and courses that enrich the community
for individuals of all ages.
The driving forces in today’s ever-changing economy are information and technology. These forces are so dominant and the
advancements so continuous that “lifelong learning” has become a requirement for continued employment. Providing quality
educational opportunities to licensed professionals is a primary objective of the Division of Workforce Development.
Today’s workers require additional training to maintain current positions or to qualify for promotions. Marshall’s staff
experts or contractual training specialist can provide continuing education in a host of topics. Classes are scheduled at
convenient times, formatted as short courses, seminars, conferences, and workshops.
The MCTC is fully accredited by the North Central Association Commission on Accreditation and School Improvement (NCA CASI) and is
a member of Advantage Valey.
