Quality Matters is the first of three workshops that are to be taken sequentially (see eligibility requirements below). The three workshops target faculty who teach or plan to teach an “online course” (100% online or e-course) or a “hybrid course” (75% of the course occurs online). Enrollment in all workshops is limited; please do not register if you are not certain you will be able to complete the workshop.

Workshop Descriptions

Quality Matters

Quality Matters is for faculty who are interested in learning more about using the Quality Matters (QMProgram.org) rubric and peer review process to establish high-quality online educational experiences. The workshop introduces participants to the Quality Matters program (https://qmprogram.org) and the QM rubric used to assess the design of online courses. Roxanne Humbert, HEPC, will introduce participants to the eight standards on the QM rubric. Additionally, participants will gain an understanding of the QM standards by applying them to an existing course. Enrollment is limited to 25 individuals in each session. Questions concerning this workshop should be directed to Dr. Monica Brooks (brooks@marshall.edu).

  • Dates for QM will be announced in January 2014.
