New Full-Time Faculty Orientation Registration 2020

The Center for Teaching and Learning welcomes you to the Marshall University faculty!  We look forward to working with you to make your first year a success.  To assist with your transition to Marshall, we offer a New Faculty Orientation (NFO) on August 17-18, 2020 (schedules for both days can be found below).

At Orientation, you will have an opportunity to meet and interact with a variety of faculty, staff and administrators to learn about responsibilities, rewards and resources for faculty.  NFO consists of the following:

Monday, August 17th, will be a full day of sessions devoted to interactive experiences designed to creatively introduce you to university policies and procedures.

Monday Schedule

Tuesday, August 18th, is a day devoted to a focus on faculty – TRACE Tuesday (Teaching, Research, and Community Engagement). The theme this year is Turning the Corner to Fall. The first half of the day consists of a keynote address and presentations by Marshall University faculty award winners.  In the afternoon will be workshops for faculty to initiate or earn the credentials needed for teaching courses in our core curriculum.
